It is not only a site link between the contacts, but has become a medium for the dissemination of the latest news around the world.

Excerpted from Ptmk.ump.edu.my, facebook was launched in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg. Initially, it was used as a tool for interaction of students at Harvard University. Facebook also reported a steady increase in daily active and monthly users. Facebook's MAU total climbed to 901 million worldwide, up 32.5 percent from the same period a year ago. In this task, I will discuss the effectiveness, efficient, secure-Ability, necessary utilities, features and usability of both websites.

2.0 Effectiveness of facebook and twitter

2.1 Alternative Newspapers

With the increasing popularity of facebook and twitter as a social network, delivering news through newspapers and online news seems not well received. This is a new culture in the mode of delivery, on-line news. Most of the news is spread through facebook and twitter is starting from an individual or individuals. Thus, the validity of written news can be questionable because they are free to write anything. Indirectly, facebook and twitter effectiveness as a platform for news presenter is still a question mark.

2.2 Benefit for Small Businesses

The relationship between social network with a large business has a positive effect very well. However, it is unknown how effective facebook and twitter as a medium of advertising for small businesses. Problems arise when small entrepreneurs to advertise their business in facebook or twitter. An expensive ad space on facebook is not affordable to them. Similarly, advertising rates on twitter. Imagine if the cost of a click sometimes reaches $ 5 for their keyword list. Of course, small entrepreneurs can not afford to pay for their ads on facebook and twitter because they can not profit commensurate with the payment of advertising charges. However, they can advertise their products with the "tagging" on facebook or "twitt" on twitter.

They can also leave a link to their website on hot topics in both these social sites. In this way, small entrepreneurs can advertise their products for free and they can get high traffic if they advertise their website. Can indirectly attract many buyers and can generate greater profits. According posting.com, twitter recorded a higher percentage rate of 78% while only 75% of facebook. This percentage represents the amount of small business owners who are registered and using the social web as a platform for their advertising.

2.3 Learning Space

Twitter and Facebook are also very suitable for the learning space. Through facebook, teachers can create a group and in it can discuss the questions and assignments / training provided. It is not much different from the existing forums on the web. The difference just because it's free. Similarly, twitter, teachers can start topics and the students just follow @ twitter.

3.1 Business and Marketing

Twitter is more streamlined and news oriented. Facebook is more of a platform link between family and friends. But twitter will become more interesting when you have many followers. No doubt facebook is easy to use by all groups. But twitter will become more interesting when you have many followers. Once they have many followers so much easier to make twitter as a tool for marketing businesses. As we know, facebook is only focusing on family and friends only, then it is difficult to make it as a business marketing field. It is clear that twitter is more efficient to be used as a marketing agent in the business.

3.2 Photo Storage

No doubt every day almost every time users facebook save pictures to their Facebook account. Some people make facebook a second hard disks to store images. In other words there is no limit to users facebook save pictures into their facebook accounts. Unlike twitter, space to store a very limited. This clearly shows that facebook is more efficient place to store pictures.

4.0 Secure-ability of information posted.

In general, there is nothing that can prevent users from making a post or twitt on their wall. However, consumers should remember that post or twitt not controlled can lead to stealing their personal information such as phone number and so on. Therefore, users need to know how to set the security level of their twitter or facebook account.

Facebook

Twitter

All that is written on the wall will be read by everyone. It is as if we made the announcement to the entire family friend contacts. So what is written on the wall is open and accessible to other partners that we do not know. This situation may invite interest to strangers to intrude into our profile and then steal important information without our consciousness.

The error occurs when users retweet false news. Started when a user "tweet" false news and in the "retweet" by another person without investigating the validity of the news first. Indirectly easily spread false news, and it is an event that is not healthy to be avoided.

Facebook controlling personal information with a few settings that need to be made by the user. Facebook displays the full address of a website that was written by the author. In other words, other users can look directly typed the URL address without using the tiny URL.

Twitter limited to 140 words only for a twitt. Url addresses will usually shortened to Tiny URL. This dangerous situation because the user will click to Tiny URL is likely to run applications and then steal personal information.
